Lagos Assembly passes 2026 Budget Amendment Bill, approves N200bn bondLagos State House of Assembly has passed the 2026 Appropriation (Amendment) Bill into law, paving the way for the reordering of budgetary priorities and faster implementation of major capital projects across the state.

The passage followed the consideration of a letter from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu requesting the Assembly’s approval to reorder priorities contained in the state’s 2026 budget.

The letter, read before the lawmakers by the Clerk of the House, Mrs Adenike Oshinowo, was referred by the Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa, to the Committee on Economic Planning and Budget for consideration.
