NSE: All Share Index drops by 0.47%

The Nigerian Stock Exchange has ended this week’s trading activities with the exchange’s benchmark index closing at 0.47%.

The All Share Index fell from 27,052.93 basis points by 0.47 percent or 127.64 basis points to close on Friday at 26,925.29 basis points, living the 27 thousand Mark.

In the same vein, Market Capitalisation fell from 0.47 percent or 62 billion Naira to close at N13,121 trillion Naira as against previous closing of 13,183 trillion Naira.

Market sentiment, as measured by market breadth is positive with 18 stocks gaining and 16 stocks declining, a significant improvement from yesterday’s 23 losers relative to 9 gainers.

258.29 million units of shares worth 3.53 billion Naira in 4,662.00 deals compared with previous 233.19 million units of shares worth 3.64 billion Naira were traded in 4,331 deals traded on Thursday.

Top three trades on Friday were: GUARANTY Trust Bank Plc with 67.863 million shares valued at N1,763 billion Naira.

TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATION OF NIGERIA PLC traded    25.655 million shares worth N23.065 million Naira, while STERLING BANK PLC 25.024 million units of shares at N55.477 million Naira.
