The Governor of Plateau State and Director General of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Simon Lalong, has lost his polling unit to the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, during the election conducted on Saturday.
Lalong, who is also a senatorial candidate of the APC for the Plateau South Senatorial District, voted at his Polling unit 015 located at the LEA Primary School Ajikamai, in the Shendam LGA of the state
Announcing the results of the election, the presiding officer of the polling unit, Sowan Stephen, announced that Obi scored 104 votes to defeat his challengers, including the All Progressives Congress candidate, Bola Tinubu, and Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party.
According to the presiding officer, while Tinubu got 88 votes, Atiku polled 8 votes.
