Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba on Friday ordered the provisional posting of CP Afolabi Babatola Adeniyi to Adamawa State Command as new Commissioner of Police.
This is pending approval of the Police Service Commission, PSC, according to Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi.
Also, CP Adebola A. Hamzat has been varied to Commissioner of Police in charge of the Border Patrol Force at the headquarters, Abuja.
CP Lanre Bankole Sikiru, former CP Ogun State, has been posted to head the Force Criminal Investigations Department, FCID, X-Squad at its annex in Lagos State.
Baba charged the new CP X-Squad to deploy all requisite assets in ensuring sanity, professional standards and discipline among personnel.
The IGP further advised the senior officers to apply their wealth of experience to improve existing structural arrangements.
Adejobi reiterated the resolve of the security agency to achieve “a citizen-focused and community-oriented policing system”.
The police called for support and cooperation from members of the public to enable the newly posted CPs to perform optimally on their mandate.
A few days ago, Baba redeployed and replaced the Commissioners of Police in Lagos, Adamawa, Ogun, Taraba and Ebonyi States.
