THE Ekiti State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Bisi Kolawole, on Tuesday, promised to run an issue-based campaign as it prepares for the 2022 Governorship Election.
Kolawole, who is also one of the party’s aspirants for the election, made the promise while inaugurating his 200-member campaign committee headed by a former House of Representatives member, Segun Adekola.
This was contained in a statement titled, ‘Ekiti 2022: Ex-Rep member to lead Bisi Kolawole’s campaign, over 200-member campaign committee constituted’, signed by the Director of Media and Publicity of the campaign organisation, Lere Olayinka.
Olayinka announced plans by the campaign to commence a local government tour of all 16 Local Government Areas of the State, on Sunday. He said the event will be flagged off in Efon-Alaaye.
The statement further noted that other members of the committee billed to be inaugurated next week, include: former PDP Deputy Governorship candidate, Deji Ogunsakin (Director of Administration and Strategy), and former members of House of Representatives, Kehinde Agboola, Thaddeus Aina and Ayo Oladimeji among others.
