Nigerian Stock Exchange begins trading week bearish

The Nigerian Stock Exchange has reopened for trading activities after the public holidays declared by the Nigerian Government in commemoration of the Eid -el-kabir Sallah celebration.

The market opened at 12,237 trillion Naira and closed at 12,203 trillion Naira to Loose by 0.28 percent or 34 billion Naira.

The All Share Index also fell by 0.28 or 100.7 basis points to close at 35,403.92 basis points after opening at 35,504.62 basis points.

The exchange traded a total of 230 million shares worth 4.8 billion Naira in 4,188.00deals.

Gainers
C & I LEASING PLC which opened at N1.00 per share, closed on Tuesday at N1.05 per share, gaining 0.05 kobo or 5.00 percent.

N.E.M INSURANCE CO (NIG) PLC opened at N1.00 per share and closed at N1.05 per share, gaining 0.05 kobo or 5.00 percent.

GUINNESS NIG PLC opened at N75.50 per share and closed at N79.27 per share. Gaining N3.77 Naira or 4.99 percent.

Losers
SEPLAT PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LTD opened at N490.50 per share and closed at N465.98 per share, falling by N24.52 or 5.00 percent.

JULIUS BERGER NIG. PLC opened at N32.49 per share and closed at N30.87 per share. Falling by N1.62 or 4.99 percent.

LAFARGE AFRICA PLC opened at N56.98 per share and closed at N54.14 per share. Falling by N2.84 or 4.98 percent.
