Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his warm congratulations to the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on his 60th birthday.
In a statement released on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, Sanwo-Olu described Egbetokun as a committed and dedicated public servant who had demonstrated vibrancy, trustworthiness, and diligence throughout his career.
Sanwo-Olu said Egbetokun’s extensive knowledge and experience had driven positive developments within the Nigeria Police Force since assuming the position of IG.
He stated, “The Inspector General of Police, Mr Kayode Egbetokun, is a committed and dedicated public servant. He has displayed a high degree of dedication and professionalism in public service, contributing significantly to the growth and development of the Nigeria Police.
“IGP Egbetokun has devoted his life to serving his country as a principled police officer, holding various positions, including as the Chief Security Officer to former Governor Bola Tinubu and Commander of the Rapid Response Squad in Lagos State, where he served with passion and commitment.”
The governor added, “On behalf of my family, the government, and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, on his 60th birthday. I pray that the Almighty God continues to grant him wisdom for continued service to humanity, the police, and Nigeria.”
