Kolo Yusuf while expressing appreciation to the Inspector General of Police for his intervention, called on officers and men to redouble their efforts and work towards achieving the mandate of conducting credible, fair and hitch-free election in the state.
The commissioner also tasked Area Commanders, Tactical Commanders, DPOs and all officers and men deployed for election security duty to be neutral, firm and steadfast to ensure that the Command consolidates on the success recorded during the Presidential and National Assembly elections.
Yusuf further charged the general public to be law abiding and desist from any act capable of causing unrest in the state, and at the same time, continue to pray for peaceful conduct of the elections in the state and the country in general.
“The police and other conventional security agencies are dedicated to providing a coordinated security network during and after the elections.
“We assure the general public of adequate security. But the security agencies cannot do the security work alone without the public through vital Information that can help us in crime management,” he said.
