WTO: Okonjo-Iweala’s appointment will aid Nigeria’s economy – APC chieftain Tumsah

A former Interim National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Tijjani Tumsah has expressed confidence that Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala’s appointment as the Director-General of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) would positively affect Nigeria’s economic growth
Tumsah, in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, described the former Finance Minister as a worthy ambassador of Nigeria, who’s pedigree and experience will be put forward towards reforming the WTO.
He added that her appointment gives hope to reward for merit and exceptional service to  father land.
Tumsah said joined the family, friends and well wishers of Dr. Ngozi Iweala in wishing her a successful and productive tenure at the world Trade body.
He commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his tremendous support towards the emergence of Okonjo-Iweala as the 7th Director-General of the WTO
Tumsah urged women in Nigeria,  Africa and around the world to support Okonjo-Iweala to discharge her responsibilities diligently.
