The Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has said that it is relevant for those who head government agencies to disclose their plans on how to move their agencies forward.
He spoke during an event which was organised to celebrate his re-appointment as the governor of the CBN organised by the Chairman, Zenith Bank Plc, Jim Ovia.
More than 10 state governors and other dignitaries from the country attended the event.
Emefiele said, “I think it is something we should encourage people to do. As heads of agencies and parastatals, we must tell them what we can do.
“The five- year plan is out of a desire to say that when you are given a responsibility, you should be able to tell the world what you want to do,” he added.
He said that this was one of the reasons why he decided to roll out a five-year plan when he was re-appointed.
The Vice- President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, described Emefiele as a patriotic Nigerian.
He said that was the reason the CBN governor was involved in every aspects of the economy.
On his own part, Ovia urged the CBN governor to continue to create a conducive economic environment for the youths.
He said that the introduction of various initiatives and its financial inclusion drive, should help to empower the youths to create employment.
