Stock Exchange all share index reaches 36 thousand mark

The Nigerian Stock Exchange has sustained its upward trend with an increase of 1.42 per cent in today’s activities.

The market capitalisation of the Nigerian Stock Exchange added 1.42 per cent gain to its yesterday’s gain closing today at N 12,448 trillion Naira which is 175 billion Naira higher than yesterday’s closing of 12,273 trillion Naira.

The All Share Index today gained 507.12 basis points or 1.42 per cent, thereby reaching the 36 thousand mark to close at 36,116.19 basis points, as compared to previous closing of 35,609.07 basis points.

The market exchanged 223 million share worth 4.17 billion Naira in 4,622.00 deals.

Gainers
GUINNESS Nig PLC sustained it’s highest gainer position with an increase of N8.94 or 10.23 per cent  to close at N96.33 per share as against previous closing price of N87.39 per share.

DANGOTE CEMENT PLC which had an opening price of N207.12 per share, closed today at N216.91 per share, gaining N9.79 or 4.73 per cent.

STANBIC IBTC HOLDINGS PLC which had an opening price of N39.01 per share closed today at N39.90 per share,  gaining N1.49 or 3.88 per cent.

Losers
SEPLAT PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENT COMPANY LTD on the losers’ side opened at N482.00 per share and closed at N457.90 per share, Falling by N24.10 or 5.00 per cent.

NCR (NIGERIA) PLC. had an opening price of N7.33 per share and closed at N6.97 per share, depreciating by 0.36 kobo or 4.91 per cent.

MAY & BAKER NIGERIA PLC. Opened today’s activities at N3.15 per share and closed at N3.00 per share, Falling therefore by 0.15 kobo or 4.76 per cent.
